Directorpoint in 2016: Celebrating Its Best Year Yet


We don’t mean to pat ourselves on the back, but we think 2016 was our best year yet! Not only did we receive some outstanding recognition, add exciting clients, and open an office in another country, we also worked tirelessly to make our software even more impactful and user-friendly.

Some of our most memorable accomplishments from 2016 include:

  • Experienced 68.3% client growth and were privileged to have formed partnerships with several outstanding organizations, such as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (P.S. They give out the Oscars!).
  • Established an Australia-based office and data center to better serve our international client base.
  • Were named one of the fastest growing companies based in Birmingham by Birmingham Business Journal’s “Fast Track 30” for the second consecutive year!
  • Introduced our weekly newsletter –“The Point” as well as consistent, informative blog content on our website. (Subscribe for regular updates!)

As for our software, it’s better than ever! Not to mention you can have an intuitive experience on both the iPad app and the web-based platform. Our developers have been hard at work to provide Directorpoint users with smarter and more efficient features:

  • Added a useful Discussions tool to encourage one-on-one communication.
  • Developed the Calendar View to help users organize their board schedules in advance.
  • Invented a handy Bookmarks tool to give users the ability to locate important information on the fly.
  • Established a Partial Publish option to help admins schedule and prep for upcoming meetings without sending out unnecessary information.
  • Created Color Theme Selection to differentiate committees or reflect company colors.
  • Improved the game-changing Minutes tool to allow users to take minutes during meetings that will automatically save in draft format for administrator viewing.
  • Generated the RSVP tool to help admins schedule with directors ahead of time.
  • Produced the E-signatures capability to take your board’s remote working capabilities to the next level.
  • Enhanced our File Convert Update—creating a 300% faster upload time for large documents.

Moving forward, we’re focused on continuing to provide our clients with a top-notch product as well as unmatched customer service.
